We would like to share a message from a Military Order of the Purple Heart member that was sent to AAMCO regarding the 50 Cars in 50 States program
I was astonished to learn that a civilian organization was stepping forward to show their appreciation
AAMCO | 03/25/2013“It has been over forty years since I spilled my blood into foreign soil as my fellow combatants and I stood the ground to show the enemies of liberty and freedom that we would not tolerate any attempt to subjugate our people nor our country. For those forty years I have been content to depend on the Veterans Administration to make me decent prosthesis to allow me to walk, and to take care of most of my medical needs. I was astonished to learn that a civilian organization was stepping forward to show their appreciation for what our combat veterans had done by offering to repair a personal car that was needed to bring comfort and security to a veteran’s life. I applied for, and was selected, for this program. Words cannot express my gratitude to the AAMCO organization, the corporate staff, especially the store manager/owner in Lebanon, Tennessee, and the great feeling you have placed in my heart. I sincerely hope other great corporations will follow your lead and find additional ways to show their gratitude for what a lot of Americans have done for our country.”
